TWO South Yorkshire law firms have merged to form a new practice called Pennine Law, with offices in Hoyland, Penistone and Stocksbridge.
William Hoyland Solicitors, based at Hoyland Nether, near Barnsley, is joining forces with Dransfield, Hodgkinson and Lofthouse, which was established in 1830 and has offices in Penistone and Stocksbridge.

Both companies will continue to trade using their existing names

Bill Hoyland becomes senior partner of Pennine Law, supported by Gillian Turner, while Charles Hodgkinson and Ian Lofthouse become consultants.

Bill Hoyland said: "There are great synergies between the two businesses.

"We are both high street practices with a reputation for providing personal one-to-one contact with clients.

"The merger will enable us to call on a broader range of specialist knowledge from both businesses, providing even better service to clients in the areas we operate."

Pennine Law has plans to expand, following investment in the latest technology and software.
