A TODDLER and two adults were rescued from a smoke-logged Sheffield home after food was left in a hot cooker last night.
Firefighters broke into the house on Lichford Road, Arbourthorne, at 2am and found a man, woman and child asleep in the lounge.

A fire spokesman said the youngster had to be passed to safety through the window, and the two adults were led out through the front door.

All three suffered smoke inhalation.

Neighbours raised the alarm after seeing smoke, which was pouring from charred food left too long in the oven, he added.

Three pumps attended, two from Mansfield Road and one from Central station.
